Handy beautifully illustrated box sized book on Egyptian temples, art and artefacts very well organised. A perfect handbook before and during a visit
One of the best overviews of Egyptian culture and art from 3000 BC to 300 BC with a few pages on the Islamic period. Very clear description of pharaonic monuments, sculpture, wall paintings funerary masks and artefacts from the graves. Moreover a description of the major sites in Egypt, not only Giza, Memphis, The be and Abu Simpel. Plus 150 pages background information of history, Alexandria and Cairo including the vast Egyptian Museum all with hundreds of high quality photos in a day 15x15 cm solid bound book. Get while you can in German or English as it is out of print ! Highly recommended
