This historical moment of Swiss railway history is celebrated with a due anniversary program. The Association of Public Transport, SBB, PostBus and the Alliance Swiss Pass have diverse public events in five regions for the celebrations and the official ceremony on 9. August 2022. Another highlight that draws attention to the anniversary year is the locomotive of the RE 460 series designed by fleischmann in cooperation with SBB and the artist Gudrun Geilinger. The anniversary locomotive was provided with two different side designs.
