After my M1 Mac Book Pro started to struggle with Topaz Video AI, I decided it was time for an M2. Looking at the high cost of M2 Macs, I decided to go for the M2 Studio. Due to the cost, I went for the base model with 32gb RAM. I was a bit concerned I hadn't gone for the 64mb RAM version but I need not of worried. The 32gb version eats everything I throw at it & is 5 time faster than the M1 Mac Book with Topaz Video AI.
Set up was as usual with a Mac, very easy & some how very satisfying. The un-boxing is an event only Mac can do & set up & transfer went seamlessly.
Very happy with the M2 Studio which I use for video & photo editing. The 512GB hard drive is not an issue as I edit from hard drives. Again, the speed of transfer is also no issue.
Overall very impressed. The the shock of initial outlay has now subsided& I am thoroughly enjoying the new M2 Studio.
Excellent work horse. (My fourth Mac) I use it to carry out editing on Photos some of which are 50-60 mb each it carries out the work without a hitch. My only issue would be the size of the drive 512gb but that was my choice, and I use a couple of m.2 drives to extend storage which it reads very quickly and without a hitch.
