Hornby R3983 2007 Prince of Wales locomotive.
What a special model. This was one of the first to use the new-style Hornby drawbar connectors, and it seems to work well. Detailing appears good. Fit and finish are good with no signs of excess glue anywhere. I didn't use the Hornby-supplied crew, but it's a nice idea to supply them. Operation is smooth, powerful and is capable of higher speeds. Room inside the body permits additional weight to be added, which I did to aid adhesion, thus haulage as the motor is more than capable. Pricing depends on your individual deal - mine was a good one. For the model, I definitely recommend it.
