My dog had a split pad so in order to avoid infection the vet recommended I bandaged it whilst indoors and in the garden to do his business. This was quite a nuisance as you had to keep changing it so I got these protective boots and they were great. So easy to put on and just the thing for indoors and for going into the garden, or a very short walk. You get two in a pack so whilst one is drying you can still keep your dog protected with the other one. I would recommend these for any paw or pad problem. Obviously you would not use them for a very long walk. Poor quality
Bought to protect the dogs paw which has a cut on his pad. Put it on, fastened up tight and set out for our walk. It lasted about an hour before it had a hole in it. The seams had burst. Next day we used the other boot, this was better but did require frequent adjustment and tightening. After two days I had to repair a hole in this one which kept it going for another few days. After a weeks use it has a big hole where the material has worn through. This was only walking on footpaths and grass. Not great.

My dog had ruptured skin on one of her pads so I bought these to keep it dry and clean while it healed. Walker Protective Boots
These boots are simply the best. I used to buy these for one of my dogs as he suffered corns in his pads. Now I buy them for another of my hounds as she has a dislocated toe and can't tolerate pavement walks without her boot on. I never have to worry about my dogs losing a boot along the road as they wrap very snuggly around the foot. The box contains two boots so if it is raining there is always another one ready for the next walk whilst the first one dries. They are reasonably priced too.
