This unit is a powerhouse. CD quality sampling + sequencing + pitch shift/reverse. You can plugin in a mic or sound source and sample in mono or stereo. Then you can take that perfectly digitized sample and proceed to ruin it with whatever lo-fi art rock song you're currently making. It's a shame this thing went so under the radar back in the day. They came out in like 1996. To think that less than 10 years prior, Beastie Boys made Paul's Boutique with an 808, a set of turntables, and a 1st gen sampling unit that botched the sample quality in a lot of cases. This thing was like Japan showing up to the moon in a lambo while we were still watching monkeys play pong and jack off in tin cans a few thousand feet about Earth's orbit. I'm really not proud of how much I paid for this damn thing. 11/10 buy it while you can still afford it.
