Sturdy and effective
It is not the lightest or quietest pencil sharpener I have used, but it is very strong and works very well. As a hobbyist sketcher I have tried many different pencil sharpeners, battery operated and manual, and this is definitely my favourite. I wish I had avoided some of the cheaper ones and gone straight for this amazing beast. It is heavy and solid, a little noisy, but it works so well that I can easily forgive the noise, and the weight is an advantage as it doesn't vibrate itself across my desk like some of the lesser machines I have used. I have been using this for good while now , I have to have my pencils sharp ! ;Works perfectly every time - very quick with the auto-stop feature when using pencils up to about 4B, anything softer will need a bit more care or the leads will break ( as they would with any other auto sharpener) . Everything is electric nowadays
