The bulkhead light is generally robust, of decent quality and fairly easy to install. My only criticisms are that there is only a rear entry for the electric cable, meaning that I had to cut a hole in the side for my installation and that making the electrical connections is rather fiddly. Nice in theory, frustrating in practice!
I needed a light-fitting that was 'flush' with my ceiling as I was fed-up at starring at my nicotine-stained old fashioned ceiling rose. This fixture was just what I was looking for as it still takes old-school dimmable filament bulbs too. The installation process in my opinion should be made easier for the end consumer by some simple in-house manufacturing procedures such as drilling holes already for the consumer and including the required 2mm grommet, (not included.) After installing I liked the over-all effect but I made a bit of a mess of the reflector so will have to order another one to replace it.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Made in the UK! Clever design.
It's difficult to manufacture something like this in the UK, and to do so involves some clever design which in this case results in an excellent product. The trick used here is to minimise the number of parts, and get the end user to do some of the assembly (which is what some people complain about) but the effort is worth it (not much effort to be fair - one screw to hold the lamp holder in position, and another for the reflector). The cover for this light is a snap fit, and that is in my opinion the clever bit. No screws which might corrode and make removing the cover difficult at some future point. There's a recess which allows the cover to be prised off with a flat bladed screwdriver. The plastics used are good quality. I fitted a few of these to a ceiling and I'l a clumsy oaf and managed to drop both a base and cover from ceiling height onto a concrete floor and both survived. Would recommend. Whoever designed the moulds for snap fit of the cover on the base knows what they're doing.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Easily fitted on wall or ceiling.
