The product is new but ten year old stock. Plastic degrades in ten years. Very little of focusing and image capture works, giving low quality results.
The software is simple but adequate, loading quickly without fault. The design of the microscope copies much from the conventional microscope, but is completely plastic, whereas several of its components require metal engineering and surface technology to perform functionally and smoothly. The rise and fall motion of focusing is jumpy, imprecise and unreliable. The optical quality of the image is very poor and unreliable, questioning the quality of the lens and possibly its material. Overall a very poor optical performance and viewing result from a piece of equipment which promised so much more
