A poor offering from Jess Franco
The title is a bit misleading because the Killer Barbys are not actually the vampires but a Heavy Metal Rock group who find themselves stranded in the middle of nowhere but are invited to spend the night at an eerie castle. It is actually the mistress of the castle who is the vampire and she needs fresh human flesh to regain her true form. There is a certain amount of gore in the film but the film looks to have been made on the fly with some of the action lacking in logic. I usually like films by Jess Franco but this one fails miserably.
