    Untunable Guitar Transformed to Superb Sounding Player.

    Ordered this nut to actually replace a damaged nut on a 1980's Japanese S type electric guitar. Being a copy, the nut slot didn't conform to standard Fender dimensions, so I purchased the Graph Tech acoustic model nut (which is much larger but has same string spacing) and re-modelled it. It fits perfectly, strings are perfectly spaced (had to do some minor adjustments to the slot depths) but its transformed my cheap nasty untunable copy into a sweet sounding, playable electric with perfect intonation. The strings now sound much brighter, owing to the dense Tusq material. Graph Tech products are more expensive than your standard plastic or bone nut, but well made and finished, they're easy to re-work with standard hand files and wet / dry paper. Really happy with my purchase!
