I've used a variety of PL-259 plugs over the last two and a half decades, some of very poor and dubious quality and manufacture, but these are quite simply the best you can get. These were bought for standard RG-58 6mm stuff and they fitted like a glove. The screw thread held the cable firmly but not over tightly as so to damage the folded back braid, the quality brown insulator didn't budge or melt when heat was applied to the centre and the centres were actually gold plated with a proper chamfered tip to them I have since bought some of the same type for RG-213 and they were of equal quality. Well recommended.

I like to solder these plugs but these where the screw the cable in it could be the way I assemble them but I'm not keen on them
