Icom MXA-5000 AIS Receiver
The MXA-5000 receiver is worthy of being my favourite AIS receiver, The receiver is a true duel channel receiver and is highly sensitive to the receive frequencies - able to pull out the most distant AIS targets with relative ease. The built in antenna splitter makes installation very easy where there is an existing VHF antenna and I have encountered very little db loss from the splitter. The computer interface could prove a challenge to anyone that is not savvy with wiring a com port or an NMEA2000 network.
