Ok but could be better
Would have liked to have given 5 stars but there are some cons. so decided on 4 stars Cons - Bit fiddly & awkward getting it to stay on a jar lid and it does not fit a large jar (IE large beetroot jar) which i often buy. So it would be good if it had another size larger on it. Pros - I can now open smaller jars & bottles easier than i could without it and with no pain now. its rubber,sturdy & cheap and best pro is i can open a bottle of prosecco with it , without it is was very painful and getting pretty much impossible getting those corks out. even with its cons I would still recommend it to anyone like me that struggles with grip,Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Looks good, but doesn't work!
Bought for my 89 year old mother to help her undo jars, but it is of no help. There are two fundamental flaws in the concept. 1) In order to exert any extra leverage on the cap, the tool has to grip the surface of the cap - which it will only do if you have the strength of Samson to squeeze it together! If you can squeeze the grip tight enough to make it work, then you probably don't need it in the first place... 2) Even if you managed to get the extra leverage on the cap, that only means that you are now also exerting extra twisting force on the body of the bottle or jar. How are you supposed to hold the jar? This is something which art first glance seems like a good idea, but I suggest that you need to think very carefully about how you would or could actually use it, before spending your moneyVerified purchase: YesCondition: New

Not for arthritic hands after all.....
This is a well made, well designed tool for an able bodied person but far too strong to be fitted onto a jar top by an arthritic hand. I would thoroughly recommend it as an aid to anyone without arthritis in their hands or wrists but definitely not to those who suffer from those areas of condition.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Cheap, not very cheerful
It looks the part but it does not grip the jar etc enough. It takes a lot of hand strength to make it grip but that defeats its purpose. I bought this for my wife to help her in the kitchen but its now at the back of the drawer through lack of use. Not great.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

OK but wish it could open wider
