Not just a step up, a giant leap
I have owned many cassette decks over the years - Technics, Sony, Denon, Tascam... This is my first Nakamichi deck, bought after my Denon decided to give up the ghost recently. I gotta tell you - this thing really shows the weaknesses of all the other decks and the recordings i have made on them. I am no expert, so these few lines are not going to cover the minutiae of the cassette head world nor any of the whys and wherefores, three head vs two etc etc. There are plenty of sites that deal with all that if you look around. No i am here simply to tell you how impressed I am by this basic deck and the sadly no longer extant company that made it. The compilation tapes i have made with it sound better than any i have made previously by an absolute mile.
