When these cutters were priced at around £10 I could stomach it only lasting doing two worktop joints and the cutouts for the bolts. But now they are selling for around £20 you're better off buying the RM11 Rota-tips! You can buy the blades for £55 and they are double sided, so giving two cuts per blade. You have to buy the shank but that's a something you only buy once. I use to sharpen the TR17D on diamond flat plates and to be fair I would get another two cuts out of them, but you wont get a third and the Rota-tips are still cheaper in the long run.
