Waste of time and money, clogged up my DPF, huge repair bill to resolve.

This product may well release some built up carbon deposits from around your engine, but it sends them all straight into your DPF clogging it up. If your car has a relatively high mileage, the DPF will have a high percentage of ash buildup, even with regular regenerations. When I used this EGR cleaner, all the crap released went into the DPF exceeding the upper threshold of its capacity, turning on the DPF warning light, putting the car in limp mode and no amount of regenerating will then clear the DPF as the chunks of carbon released into it are too large to burn off in the regen process. So this £8 can of cleaner ended up costing me over £1000 for a replacement DPF and labour. Absolutely gutted. Avoid like the plague. Take your EGR valve off and clean it manually, it's just not worth the risk, heartbreak and inevitable financial hardship that follows a repair bill big enough to ruin Christmas.

  • Wynn EGR cleaner.

Good product. I use it twice a year and it works well. EGR valve used to stick before I started regular treat ments. It is easy and safe to use. A S Jones Simpson52

  • Depends how you use it

Tried this on my Mondeo Mk3 2.0L TDCI - by spraying in the air intake but it made little difference.Took the EGR off and gave it a good clean with Wynn's and it loosened a lot of carbon which I finished off with a small brush (don't use steel brush). Car run much better. Day after I was in Tesco's with my wife when I spotted some Red X engine cleaner. Tried 2 shot smaller bottle first in a full tank of diesel, blasted it up some hills (choking following tailgater!!) and it really cleaned the engine out.Hardly a trace of smoke now and much smoother

  • Amazing product

Sorted my car out a treat after having loss of power due to the EGR valve, took about 20 minutes and simple to use. Difference in power was instant

  • EGR PROBLEM SOLVER

i was quoted about €1400 to replace my EGR Valves after they failed. After searching the WEB I came across WYNNS EGR CLEANER and gave it a try. Amazingly it worked, saving myself €1400, and I've been using it ever since. Whenever I feel the Valves starting to block I spray Wynns directly into the air intake as per the instructions and it clears the blockage immediately. BEST PRODUCT EVER. 5 STARS

  • Sometimes you don't get what you pay for!

The can was smaller than I expected, possibly my own fault for not reading the ad properly, which made it quite expensive and having followed the instructions to the letter it didn't have any effect whatsoever,in fact it ran worse. I finished up having to have a new EGR valve fitted at quite a cost. You learn by your mistakes and this certainly was one of mine.

  • Multi use

Cleaned my inlet side of the engine with this. Sprayed direct into EGR and throttle body. Easy to use and works really well gets rid of all the stubborn carbon deposits. I have also used it to clean tar spots off my car body.

  • WOW, it really works

It's great when something really does what it says. Our car goes MUCH better after using this. It worked so well that I bought another can and treated my van too. Highly recommended.
