These wagons are very true to prototype except for the brake gear which is hidden between the chassis frames ; unless you are going to model it upside down you won't be too bothered , unless of course you are one of those rivet counters who insist everything is there even if you can't see it on the real thing . For the genuine modeller , there is a kit by LZ models which gives full brake gear . The kit is well thought out including giving the facility to model it without the sides which , like on the real thing are detachable giving more variations for dioramas . I like the kit and have bought several to go with the other 1/35 rail stuff--note that the chassis can be used as a base for a carriage , easily scratch built . Good kit .
