Surfaces and edges are single cut - commonly referred to as mill bastard. This type of file is suitable both as an engineering file and a sharpening file. It is useful for filing where a smooth finish is important. Also good for polishing and deburring work in lathes. Bahco Single Cut File
This file was for levelling the teeth on my hand saws. There is only one design of saw to do that . Bahco is Swedish Steel . Even top class Japanese tool makers use Swedish Steel . You cannot get any better than this .Buy with absolute confisence in pure quality . On a coat of arms in history there is a slanting red panel to indicate the person was born out of wedlock . Hence the word Bastard. No bad reflection on a simple honest file with a slanting angled cut pattern .
