Spool head
Whilst it looks and fits like the original the reason for buying it was the screw within the 'blue' knob could not be undone as the plastic became worn inside. This same fault has occurred immediately with this replacement despite copper ease being put on the thread. This is a flaw of the design and probably what is required is an Allan key type screw such that when you flick out the centre of the blue knob it an be undone with a tool that can apply sufficient force. Plastic simply is not enough. If you buy it, flick out the centre of the blue knob and try a replace that screw with something that you can apply sufficient torque with.

a easy product to fit in no time at all good quality the line is ok for most jobs in the garden my on preference is organ duo line a little more expensive but saves a lot of line when you trimming round concrete posts .Graeme

One use only
I'm afraid this replacement part did not work for us. We used it only once and the plastic sheared. Possibly it was not an adequate fit for the strimmer it was advertised for. i would advise against this product and try to source a genuine jcb part instead.
