    Hatsan .25 air rifle.

    I sighted this weapon in with a Simmons 3x9x40 scope. I used a solid granite boulder as my backdrop. At 50 feet, the H&N Hornet brass tipped pellet went thru 1/2" plywood and then completely flattened after being stopped by the granite boulder, see the included pictures. The fourt and final shot hit a plastic pushpin to mark the dead center, which exploded like schrapnel against the target leaving all the streak marks, thats just incredible.

    Hatsan Striker 1000x .25 cal

    I got to shoot it for the first time today. It shoots almost as good as it looks...And it looks great! Either I am a bit on the weak side or it takes more to cock it than I was planning on. However, it shot very true at 30 meters and within 2" of the bulls eye. The amazing thing is I had not sighted in the scope. I didn't bother to adjust it. The scope that came with it works as a fun target shooter, but for game I would probably upgrade it. All in all, I enjoyed shooting it and so did my brother. This is the spring action Hatsan, and even thou I would have preferred the Vortex model, I will be keeping this one for the next 50 years. Thank you Hatsan for a fine air rifle. P.S. I used the Kodiak 31. grain pellets and they are good.

    Awesome Power

    This is one of several variations made in Turkey. Mine has the mystery wood stock w/ laser engraved checkering and a chintzy white spacer, not removable. You can also get walnut or polymer. I never had a .25 cal before, so jumped at the chance when price was low. I'm using 31gr. RWS Superdome pellets which are 2x as heavy as some .22s. Accuracy is ~3/4" @ 10m. It's not loud like a pneumatic or CO2, but has a good kick. Cocking effort is high, so not suitable for women or teens. The Tru-Glo sights are hard to use because the rear notch is too narrow and the front hood too small. Scope is OK, but is not robust enough for heavy springers, according to Daisy, which also sell them. I installed an old Beeman scope, especially designed for break-barrel rifles. There is another variation which uses a gas ram instead of the spring, which is smoother.
