Weed Razor "Good but very sharp"
The good. This weed razor made easy work of my small pond that was completely engulfed in cattails. Each toss did exactly what it showed in videos. Within an hour my pond was cattail free visually and you could see the water once again. It did stir sediment up from the bottom but that was expected. This thing really work well in cutting them off at the base. I strongly recommend the 11 ft rake to pull the cut offs out when done. The bad. This thing is sooooo sharp. It's a downright scary tool to use. Assembly is tricky with avoiding the blades. Wear leather gloves when assembling it. Keep the yellow guards in place whenever possible. The wait and see. It has been a few weeks and new spouts are beginning to appear. I hear cattails will drown if not allowed to reach the surface. So I will make another cut soon. At least this gives me a way to control them. Kind of like a lawn mower for a pond. You cant just cut your grass once a year and be done. Hopefully after a few cuts they will die off. The weed Razer not for large jobs, small not built to handle large jobs.
What an amazing tool that this is. The Weed Razer the weed Razer is a tool that is meant to remove the weeds from your Lake and and make it as easy as possible for you. That's when life became more simple for me once we purchase this tool. I seen my neighbor out on a homemade flotation device with a yard rake trying to remove the weeds that way. I said there's got to be an easier way to do it than that and then I went to researching and found the weed rake everyone around me watch this I remove the weeds quicker and with ease. So you won't catch me out on any homemade flotation device with my yard rake trying to remove weeds you'll see me standing in my lawn throwing the weed Razer and accomplishing what my poor neighbor was unable to do. So if I were you and if you've got Lake weeds I would purchase the weed Razer and make your life a whole lot easier just like I did. For the people with the imagination to create the weed Razer thank you for making my life simpler. And thank you for me not having to stand on some homemade flotation device with a yard rake. Not for me
I have catails in my pond and wanted to try this weed razor out. It works fine in sparse catail growth but not in the dense areas. I tossed it over the catails where they were heavy and it got stuck. I couldn't pull the rope in to retrieve the weed razor. I was nearly about to go in after it but thought I would get my tractor out to help pull it out. Needless to say the rope parted at the handle. I was lucky to find it after treaded inside the catails to get it out. I was disappointed at that point. I made sure it was sharpened and somehow it didn't want to cut through the heavier catails. I might consider using a wire cable through the handle next time around and using my tractor again. Works better than I anticipated
First of all the quality was better than I expected. does it work? Heck yes did a great job of clearing the weeds around the dock. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is: 1. Instructions on putting it together were terrible. They could have put some effort into explaining it better. 2. The cord needs to be about 4 ft longer. Weed Razer
I live on a lake with a lot of grass and lilypads along the lake making it difficult to put in a boat or fish off the bank. I wanted a non-chemical method of getting rid of this. I saw this on other online stores at a higher price but went with this. Easy to assemble and use. It isn't for the weakling though! I cleared a 30 yard area along the bank in about 3 days. Simply toss out into the water (make sure to tie it off to your wrist or you will be wading out to get it!), then with short tugs, pull it back to you with a jerk or snatching motion. The weeds are cut off from the bottom and float to the top. You will want to get a Weed Rake as well (for about the same price) OR do as I did and pick up a landscape rake, zip tie a foam pipe insulator to it and add a floating rope (about 25 meters). After a few tosses with the Weed Razer, use the rake to pull in LARGE amounts of weeds and muck. You WILL get tired and muddy but it is so worth it! The blades are VERY sharp and come with a cover for them. This includes a sharpener for the two blades.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Weed Razor
Absolutely phenomonal product for removing vegetation on farm ponds. I would highly recommend just running an anchor bolt or eye bolt where the plastic grommets run through the pole handle. The grommets come out quickly and when you pull, you end up snapping the rope and wading in for the tool after. Otherwise, works great!Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

We cleaned out our section of the lake preparing for a party and this made it much easier than our previous methods. We used it several days before we needed to sharpen it again. Expensive to the UK but worth it
With the import and transport costs, the Jenlis rake works out to be expensive but it works brilliantly ! Great care must be taken as the two razor arms are pretty lethal. Once the rake has been thrown into the water, it can be pull effortlessly through the weeds which then float to the surface and can be pulled in (quite hard work).
