I had a shredder but overloaded it causing it to jam and fail so needed a replacement. Baed on y previous experience, I looked for a brand with a good name and one with a good size bin which in my experience is very important and one that can comfortably shred a few sheets at a time if necessary. In addition to the above, what attracted me to this one was that it was white where as 9/10 are black and the good size bin is easily removable, it slides out with out having to lift the heavy top that holds the electrical motor & mechanism. It is small enough to sit under my desk out of the way when not in use which is most of the time. The Fellowes Powershred 12MS perfectly meets my needs and gets a tick in every box. Downsides, I havent found any yet but I've only had it a week.
