Data safe, home security and more!
The DS115j looks good, it's quiet enough to sit right above me on the desk and it offers a lot of options for not just running as a NAS (Network Attached Storage) but quite a few other functions as well. Whether you want a media server of a standalone device to run your home security system, this box can do it all. A word of caution - find the docs online and READ them - this is not really a plug and play device in the sense of 'connect it and copy files over' - there's setup work to be done. The only negative I can mention is I was hoping I could put a loaded hard drive in there but the first thing the box does is format the drive for its own use. Copying a few terabytes of data across takes TIME. :D Recommended technology.

Easy setup works well
I purchased this device to hold all my plex media, Will it does not have enough cpu to run plex by it'self (which is no surprise at this price point) it does do a great job of streaming the content - movies, tv shows etc. happy purchase!
