Top stuff for high temperature work
Purchased this for repainting the back boiler baffle in a multi fuel domestic stove, Ordered with some trepidation as one or two reviews had reported disappointing results in similar applications. I followed the instructions carefully, noting the requirement for surface preparation and had the entire baffle grit blasted with 200 grade aluminium oxide. Spray painting was undertaken almost immediately afterwards and was fairly straightforward - I used two light coats and two "wet" ie medium to heavy coats. The baffle was allowed to dry for a week before assembly into the stove. Curing followed the VHT on-line recommendations using a small anthracite fire on the grate and a hand held infra red pyrometer to check the surface temperature. Have used the stove twice since then and the paint shows no signs of coming off. Time will tell if this will continue to be the case. Only criticism is that the paint solvent can give a nasty headache. Be sure to apply in a well ventilated area!Verified purchase: YesCondition: New
