Not for everyone but it will work under certain circumstances.
I could not open the bonnet on my car due to a snapped cable but before smashing the grille to gain access to the mechinism I bought this as a last resort, unfortunatally the 'FL' code flashed up showing the battery was flat and would not charge. This is no fault of the item as it is only a basic trickle charger but my own misfortune. Once I got the bonnet open and battery charged with my proper charger I then left it for 2 weeks and tried it again out of curiosity, the battery showed 18% and after 30 mins it got it to 26%, I unplugged it and the car started fine. I would not buy this as an actual battery charger as it will not charge flat batteries, but it would probably handy to keep in the boot incase there you have a battery drain and you not enough juice to start the car as it should get the power up, but that is what jumper cables are for, this item is much more compact than jump leads though. Buy an actual battery charger, I recommend a RING RCB206, had mine for 12 years, charged batteries from flat and works very well as a battery tender too.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Bluecol Jump starter
Since getting this item I have had cause to use it three times and on all three occasions It showed a fault code and failed to charge the flat battery to starting point. I checked the literature with it and tried to follow the directions to rule out all fault codes to no avail. If it ever works right I may change my review on it but to date would not recommend buying this, put you money towards some other jump start item.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Doesn't work

a must for ur car so simply to use even a complete novice could use them definitely recommend
Normally I use normal jump leads. But I couldn't reach the vehicle which was a 2.4 trancit. I plug it in the cigarette lighter fired up with ease no problem especially with a 6 meter cord brilliant and only being a quarter of the size.
