Great idea but...
I bought this and the matching green dot/laser combo separately and actually got them cheaper than if I'd bought them as a set. The "hand hole" is only large enough to put three adult fingers and the edges are pretty sharp so it's definitely not something I'd use to carry a weapon all day long. Otherwise it's well made and along with the green dot/laser sight makes for an interesting combo. I'd bought it to use on an AR pistol but after seeing it won't fit my hand decided to use it (along with a rail) on top of a side cocking M-11/9. I need to do the machine work to mount it but just putting it into place temporarily with two way tape showed that it would work great turned around backwards with the sighting device on the front. Set up this way you could retain the flip up back-up-sight or take it off as I did. The success of all this depends on how well the green dot/laser devices works in real world use although any of the "mini" holographic devices might work well, too.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Cheap junk
Had high Hope's. Cheaply made. Rear sight is useless. Opened box and screws fell out. NO instructions. I may be able to get it to work but would not recommend it for anything other than air soft / range toy. Would return but rather not waste my time.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Functional with a good look and value
Very pleased. I am usually skeptical about QD rail mounts on "value based" items. This one allows you to really cinch it down with tooling and set the QD crossbolts to your desired tension. Can also cowitness with certain optics. This one went on a 7.5" 300 BLK truck gun but will be buying another for 16" build. NC Star VISM line is really a great unknown secret in the world of black guns ish. Really was thinking of not giving a good review so no one would use it on there builds and I can have the "one off" gun that catches people's eyes, but guessing that wouldn't be too good for NC STARVerified purchase: YesCondition: New

It's a sturdy quick mount, if you can believe that is possible.
This baby is sweeeet! Threw my Bushnell trs 25 red dot on it and and for a total of $130.00 I can keep up with some hefty shooters who invested way more. Doesn't hurt that looks cool, too.

Tac star handle
