  • great wee bass bin..smooth

for the size and price..this wee bass bin delivers smooth underlying bass to my system which is now two 600w passive top and mids and two of these 600w active bins..I love the warmth these wee bins add to the sound and a fair amount of thump..£70 a bin..come on..its a no brainer

  • Best bass for your bucks.

I was so impressed with the first one I bought that I went out and bought another but it was a different brand because the EL SUB 15A wasn't available... Big mistake! The other sub was much less sturdy, had a terrible rattle and the built in amp was a very poor quality build standard. I have since replaced it with another EL SUB 15A. Now the bass response is unbelievable especially at the NYE party.

  • El-sub15A

I am really impressed with this subwoofer. It is the largest, deepest and highest wattage subwoofer I have ever owned but not the most expensive. I was very impressed with the free, next day delivery seeing as it weighs 19kg. There is a track called "building steam with a grain of salt" on the Endtroducing album by an artist called dj shadow. It has a very, very low frequency thump as part of the drum loop running most of the way through the track. Only really capable subwoofers go low enough for you to hear it. This subwoofer does it. The last subwoofer I had that achieved it cost over three times the price of this one. I chose the 600 watt 15" sub over the 1000 watt 18" one as when you look at the specs, the rated continous power on the 15" is 300 watt and on the 18" it is 350 watt. Also with the lowest frequency generated, there is only 5hz separating them, which at that low a register is only two tones. If I was putting on PA systems for live bands I would have gone for the 18" sub with it's much higher rated peak power (-yes, drummers sometimes hit the mics with thier drumsticks) but it's for recorded music which is a load more predictable in volume. You are going to have to take a bit of care transporting it though as the controls and connections are not recessed. That's the only criticism I have of this subwoofer.

  • Evolution EL sub review

I have only used this a couple of times, but appears to be extremely good value for money. Adds a nice thump to any PA and has more kick than some passives I have used.

  • Bargain 15 sub woofer

No complaints for the money. It gives a big-bass sound to my stagepas 400i for very little extra expense . If it lasts this will be a great investment .

  • Not bad considering the price

I bought this as a sub for our PA system to use in smaller venues to save carting the large Yamaha sub that we have for big gigs. Lovely deep sub sound, not loud or ounchy but lifts the bass and fills the room, recommend it for small venues

  • great for the price

only thing wrong with this is the xlr connectors come loose and speaker stops working had to have fixed with better connections otherwise good bass bin

  • Great Sub

Bought one of these after seeing few other reviews but was still bit sceptical due to budget level price. So glad I did as these really pack a punch. Really good rounded bass sound & quite lightweight so not breaking my back at gigs! In fact so good I bought another!!
