Melanine door and varnished wood upgrades - I love this stuff
This product is brilliant, I used it to prep 4 melamine wardrobe doors (conti board) during an upgrade with some ply to make the plain doors into shaker style doors. It covers very well, followed the instructions but applied with a roller, and allowed me to paint the surfaces easily with chalk type furniture paint. I was so impressed with the wardrobe results I gave it a go over the varnished wood panels in the bathroom around the toilet and along the bath. Worked just as well on them also. USELESS!!!!
I bought this to apply on a fixed cupboard in my new home. The cupboard must have been installed back in the eighties its like faux mahogany, a formica type surface, its there to house the meters, so on the recommendation of someone who knows, I bought it, applied it, left it for a day, applied a small area with paint, it did ABSOLUTELY NOTHING!! once the small area of paint had eventually dried, you could scratch it off with your fingernail, isn't this supposed to be like liquid sandpaper? Save time and money.
This is my second purchase of this product. I'm decorating my whole bungalow and this includes kitchen units. It saves time and money, easy to apply. I gave it a try initially because using primer/undercoat on the kitchen cupboards was a bit of a pain, to get a good finish I was having to lightly sand the primer after application. With ESP you don't have to, it leaves a smooth finish and dries quickly. Just follow instructions and you will have no problems.

Great saved a lot of time & effort
Hoped this would do what it said on the tin & it did, saved an awful lot of rubbing down. Saves hours of work.
We have been using it for years, and it is a must- have when doing up when doing up old furniture. You just give the item a cursory rub-down, apply the product, leave to dry, (it's invisible) and then apply the new finish. This new layer will "take" and be almost impossible to chip, rub or peel off.
