Its compact light weight alliminium, Exellent desighn which can be used in just abought any type of photography. High quality compact tripod
Being an engineer by trade I was intrigued by the newer design tripods when it came time to change mine. I did quite a lot of research before opting for the Zomei Z818 as it appeared to be the high spec I was after, but at a very affordable price. I was not disappointed. It has a very good maximum height while still being quite a bit shorter than my old tripod. And the fact that it is of all metal construction is a big plus over other models. Affordable Upgrade!
What a great tripod! We don't all have hundreds to spend on a Manfrotto tripod. This Zomei Z818 is solid! I tried to use my cheap stand (previously used for mobile video) with my new 24-105mm and the weight pretty much broke the plastic head. Guess I should've known this would happen! If you're in the market to upgrade from the 15 quid Amazon/Ebay tripods then look no further. Check out the reviews on YouTube. It' s a good tool for photography, seems to be stable. Although I have not used it much outdoors i think it's functional and tall, rises up to 1.80 mm, that it help me to my shoots.
