Not your ordinary rework flux.
After using the traditional paste type flux for SMD rework and prototyping and all the cleaning that it needs afterwards, I decided to give this a try. I wasn't disappointed. This flux is extremely fluid allowing it to be placed precisely using the included brush. Once the solvent was evaporated it leaves a thin residue of flux exactly where it was applied. The flux works flawlessly on both new and rework PCBs and because the amount used is minimal it doesn't swamp and flow over surrounding components. The wetting properties are as good as any paste style flux I've used in the past and the handles lead and lead-free equally as well. I would certainly recommend this as an alternative and because of the small amount that can be used works out at a fraction of the cost of traditional paste flux.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

decent quality flux, that just works
Too many flux's on the market focus on being eco or easy clean or non clean. This flux concentrates on giving you a good solder joint, and a little goes a long way. It needs to be decanted into a fluxing bottle with needle etc as there isn't any dosing method supplied, just flux in a bottle. But i've not had a needle block yet. xcellent soldering paste!
Excellent properties for SMA BGA components installation. Even with hot air soldering, it does not overheat and works as it should. The components swim nicely on it and settle into its position. Great flux with good application brush.

Poor when compared with others
