Great Book
I own several of these "From Scratch" books by Bruce Emery and like them all. The baritone uke is tuned like the thin 4 strings on a regular guitar so everything you know about guitar transfer directly to this uke, save the two bass string on the guitar. I found the book less valuable because of this, but other books on Ukulele, Mandolin, and Bass Guitar were perfect. They give a beginner a solid foundation of understanding, much better than anything else I've seen. In addition to the excellent book, there are online audio files available for free download. This keeps the cost of the book down. I would recommend any of the Bruce Emery book. IMHO, they are the best available on the market today. If I'd had these for uke, and mandolin when I first bought those instruments, they would have been played a lot more.
