This is the only bad flask we've ever bought. It's terrible at keeping things hot. It won't manage even 12 hours for tea. The heat leaks out at the top, which gets warm. And if you keep it closed, with boiling tea in there for a few hours, full up, you open it to find everything under the cup wet because hot vapour has leaked from the lid. It then runs down the flask, of course, wetting whatever the flask is standing on. And there are minor things. The balance of the flask is terrible too. A flask this tall should never be made without a handle. It's impossible to find a good place to hold the thing - it kind of upsets itself when you tip it, forcing a bigger, faster pour than you wanted, and the balance point changes with amount in it. And you even have to watch it when you open it because if you grab the sleeve (the picture part I mean) to hold it while you unscrew the top, you find that the whole flask rotates inside the sleeve - so you have to hold the bottom or top, not the sleeve. All in all, quite the worst flask I've ever heard of, and to think that this is National Trust (it's marked on the bottom) is a disgrace to the National Trust, of which we've often been members. It does one thing well - it looks OK. But for all practical purposes, useless.Read full review

Was fine originally but now if you put hot liquid in it the outside gets too hot to touch and the contents cool down very quickly Only suitable now to carry cold water
