Performs very well and easy to use
I bought this microwave steamer to replace one I bought about 12 years ago and which had cracked. Immediately I can see an advantage of this new steamer - it's made of a material that doesn't look as if it will crack. It's performed as well as my old steamer (potatoes and carrots cooked in 6 mins, no problem) and I've bought steamers that didn't work quite as well. I haven't cooked rice in it, though, so can't comment. It's also really easy to wash after use (some are less well-designed). The only downside is that the lid of my old steamer could be snapped firmly closed, making it easier to remove from the microwave oven as no steam escaped from the rim of the lid. The lid of this steamer rests on top and as soon as I move it, really hot steam comes out around the lid, so I recommend using oven gloves, hence 4 stars. I also wish it wasn't red! But all things considered, I recommend this product. If you've never used a microwave steamer, you'll be surprised how easy they are and how much time they save.

Microwave steamer/casserole dish
I love using this steamer. Just pop your food into it and pop it into the microwave and out comes beautiful steamed fish etc It’s quick, healthy cooking and fabulous to clean. I wouldn’t be without it.
