WHO REALLY KNOWS UNTIL THERE'S A FIRE?
How daft to ask me to write a review of this fire detector. How am I supposed to know if it's any good? I'll only know that if there's a fire and this thing works and saves me and my family; and this is not a circumstance that I wish to experience. So, other than that, it looks and feels the part and I don't think it's a fake (there are a lot of fakes about, apparently) but that's only my unskilled opinion. It was easy to retrofit to my old installation and the light came on as soon as I switched back on the electricity. For that I will recommend it. Value-wise - well that depends on what the different prices are around the marketplaces for this particular detector; I can't comment on whether it's good value compared to other makes as I had to get this one unless I was to change my installation.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Simple to upgrade from an older model
