WHO REALLY KNOWS UNTIL THERE'S A FIRE?
How daft to ask me to write a review of this fire detector. How am I supposed to know if it's any good? I'll only know that if there's a fire and this thing works and saves me and my family; and this is not a circumstance that I wish to experience. So, other than that, it looks and feels the part and I don't think it's a fake (there are a lot of fakes about, apparently) but that's only my unskilled opinion. It was easy to retrofit to my old installation and the light came on as soon as I switched back on the electricity. For that I will recommend it. Value-wise - well that depends on what the different prices are around the marketplaces for this particular detector; I can't comment on whether it's good value compared to other makes as I had to get this one unless I was to change my installation.

Effective Fire Protection
We replaced an older Kidde connected alarm. Nice that the linking and base plate across old and new versions are still compatible. Chose this instead of a battery for life version in case it is depleted before the end date.

Simple to upgrade from an older model
I already had an older version of this heat alarm fitted and need to replace it. Because the base of the unit and the connector is exactly the same as the old unit, it took about 1 minute to change over and test. Really pleased with this product.
