Ipod Mini Battery

Poor performance, do not purchase.
These batteries exhibit used battery qualities. Upon taking a full charge they immediately lose 25% capacity upon disconnect from charging power supply. This behavior is shown with several iPods. Even several attempts to fully charge/discharge/charge did not help to condition these batteries for better capacity or ability to hold a charge. OEM batteries for the Mini IPod easily last 8 hours on a "shuffle songs" setting (Second Gen Mini iPods even longer). These batteries do not even last 4 hours after a full charge. Extremely disappointing after efforts to dismantle iPod for battery installation. Not sure what options there are for better quality replacement batteries as I have not researched, but these batteries are definitely not a viable option. This iPod Mini battery is dissapointing.
This battery 'appeared' as new and functional. 1.) Too tight a fit. 2). Took initial charge 3.) After discharge would not recharge. 4.) Attempted recharge gets the unit hot. 5.) Battery may be 'New' and is not an OEM item, but is an older stock Lithium battery that typically loses its viability. 6.) A good exercise to prove that you are an iPod master repair technician. 7.) Get used to operating the unit connected to an Apple type connector power source, which I use in my older vehicle via a combo 12 volt / FM transmitter to my car radio. An 'Old school' solution but works as well as a good FM quality reception.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Poor manufacturing tolerances - too big to properly fit within an iPod Mini.
I've replaced the battery on many iPod Minis. This battery simply cannot fit within the Mini. It is physically too large in the area where the wires come out of the battery, and therefore cannot fit into the recess between the drive and the the logic board's power connector. I found no reasonable way to modify the battery or the iPod to get it to fit. My only reasonable course of action was to order a different battery that was made properly. Therefore, I discourage attempting to install this battery in the iPod Mini, unless or until the manufacturer or retailer clearly addresses the problem.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Insten 1300 mAh battery replacement for Ipod Mini
Battery is slightly different from original and a little larger in size which makes positioning and inserting it more difficult. Probably why it doesn't come with a rubber pad since it's size keeps it from moving around inside case. Otherwise the handy screwdriver made it super simple to get the job done! Battery works and holds charge.

Cheap!
