I bought this to use on my SONY A7ii, so it can be used in APS-C mode (recommended) or on full frame with some cropping to eliminate vignetting. Or else use SONY's in-camera "Clear image zoom" at 1.2X in full frame - this give equivalent to 23mm approx. It focuses quickly and gives crisp images.

This lens is obviously great value, and when I bought it I was being a little bit cheeky as I was expecting Sigma's typical quality found in the 'Art' series to work on a $10,000 cinematic video camera. Was I disappointed? No, not really as images are very impressive with only slight signs of its budget origin. I love the close focus possible with this lens, which adds to its create appeal, and for 1080p shooting its awesome. 4K and we hit its limitations, but only to a degree. For the asking price, how can you go wrong?

I researched this lens before purchasing and decided that this was an excellent lens for my sony nex 6. After buying one I find that it is exactly what I needed, the sharpness and resolution is far better than I expected and would recomend it to anyone who wants a general pupose lens to replace their kit lens.
