Fuji's best kept secret!
This is a great little lens,yes it's made of plastic - but that means it's lightweight and small,image quality is really good ,and the focal length (24mm - 75mm Equivalent) makes this my most used lens. I first bought my XM-1 with this lens as part of a kit 3 years ago,and it's still as good as the day I bought it - I was so impressed in fact that I just bought another 16-50mm off of eBay to go on my XT-2 - I also have various Fuji primes,but the zoom is my most used lens. I did my own test with a 18-55mm - the only advantage I saw was the better build quality - but as I'm pretty careful with my kit it didn't really matter. Fuji cheap but good zoom
