I bought this as a present for my daughter who wants to start baking. I had bought it for myself about a year ago and liked it as an entry level appliance. It's a bit cheap and plastic looking but it does the job and is good value for money. I'm only an occasional baker so didn't want to spend too much on a mixer. I paid less than £30 a year ago, but this is still coming up on a few review sites as being good value for money, even though it's about £43 now. Like I say, it looks a bit cheap but it does what it's supposed to. I like the added functionality of being able to use it as a hand mixer on it's own for smaller jobs. Saves on a bit of washing up. Good buy for stylish stand mixer.
Pleased with overall quality of machine and th price was excellent. Liked the red colour looks nice on kitchen counter. Makes baking and whipping cream less of a chore. Cons. The whisks are smallish especially balloon whisk which can be used for hand mixing only. Would have preferred larger size whisks. The dough hooks are good for pizza and bread. The purchase price was very reasonable, well made, reasonably robust but care should be taken on which beaters (dough hooks etc) chosen suit the viscosity or stiffness of the medium being stirred, folded or beaten. All in all, a good value, effective and smart looking basic mixer
This is a great little basic mixer. I bought it as I can no longer cream/beat mixes by hand and was missing home baking. I've only used the beaters so far, not the dough hooks or whisk, but it mixes well and quickly, though as with many mixers of this price bracket the sides and bottom of the bowl do sometimes need scraping part way through to ensure an even mix. The controls are easy to use, the whole thing is easy to break down and clean even with my dodgy hands, and it's pretty compact, actually taking up slightly less space on my counter than my 4-slice toaster. Plus it looks great. One note - When looking into reviews for this mixer, I saw opposing comments on whether the bowl turns or not - it does if you put the beaters in the correct way around, as one of them has a built in cog which drives the bowl.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New
