Works great but a bit combersome to setup.
This is doing everything I needed it to do and it is very nice being able to record shows for free. I am using it with my cable company (not renting their box) so I am getting all the non scrambled channels (QAM feature). The scan took a while and added probably 300+ channels that it picked up of which probably 75% of them were scrambled channels. It arbitrarily assigned random numbers to each one so you could not tell what they meant so you had to look at each one to see if it was scrambled or not ... then one at a time delete the ones that were scrambled. This took a very long time (hours). Then once you have finished deleting all the scrambled channels in order to know what each channel was you needed to view each one and determine what channel it was by watching it a bit THEN rename it so that later you could go to it easily. (and see it in the record feature). This whole process took probably 4-5 hours over several days to complete. I have unplugged it and they stayed so they are stored in nonvolatile ram which is a GOOD thing. So for the price it was a value and I am only paying $10 month for TV and I have a DVR :).Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Great value for all it does.
Everything is good, except the power button has a delay. You press the power button and it has a about an 8 second delay, so you press the power button again because you don't think you press it correctly the first time. Really a great box
Once you learn how to set up the box it is really GREEAATT! Once you Set up channels, you can put them in order that you want , name them and recording with flash drive is easy once you learn how to do it. This box is going to save me money. Buy a 24" TV for 69 bucks instead.
Bought this for an old friend who had old TV. Had problems from day 1,just trying to program it. Then had problems with scanning. Now it shuts it self off after 10 mins. Your better off buying a new 24" TV for 69 dollars.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New
