Not durable enough
This unit works more or less straight out the packet. Supplied with batteries, it's simple and easy to work out how it works. Found it very useful on a recent refurb involving multiple wiring and worked out the danger points quite easily. When bought it was considered a good buy, however have found that it overheats and eventually stopped working. I suppose you get what you pay for. Ended up buying a branded version of this from the high street which is still going strong, it doesn't overheat!!Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Ok for a couple of uses
You get what you pay for comes to mind. I'd advise spending the extra & getting a 'proper' one. This is ok for a few uses for just around the house but the button broke & stopped detecting live wires so threw away. Very useful power detector.

DIY quality.
