ReviewsThe Guardian - There's [...] a good û rollicking even û story [...] It's set in a fascinating time, with loads of resonance today û not just hip-hop/jazz princes, but mistrust of immigrants, racism, hunger, poverty and the rise of the right. [...] there are marvellous performances, plus fascinating characters whose motives aren't yet clear. It's beautiful to look at and artfully crafted.
