Product Information

Acclaimed writer/director Stephen Poliakoff is the force behind the star-studded lavish drama DANCING ON THE EDGE. Set in the early 1930s, the five parter tells the story of a black jazz band trying to hit the big time in pre-Second World War London. As jazz starts to take the world by storm, the Louis Lester Band come to the attention of a group of socialites who introduce the band to a high-society existence of opulent hotels, fine clothes, decadent dining and even royalty. But when their manager is reported to the Alien Registration Office for deportation, the jazz musicians are forced to go it alone in the big tumultuous world of fame and fortune.
