  • Fantasia, a story of segments told through Classical Music. One thrilling Adventure

While I don't like all types of Classical Music, Fantasia has the kind all Disney fans can either love or hate. OK, there are some creepy musical segments, like Toccata & Fugue in D Minor at the beginning and Night on Bald Mountain at the end, but entangled with the sinister sounds are some bright and cheerful tones like the Pastoral Symphony, Dance of the Hours and The Nutcracker Suite. The one tune of music, which will forever be my favourite, I love most is The Sorcerer's Apprentice by Paul Dukas. I certainly got what I paid for: lythograph of a Sorcerer's Apprentice scene, certificate of authority, the book and the two videos plus the soundtrack on two CDs. While Fantasia might not be everyone's cup of tea, I certainly treasure it. If only because Mickey Mouse portrays the lazy apprentice working for a Sorcerer, that is. The story wasn't created to scare everyone away, it's a legendary masterpiece that should enthrall people of all ages forever more. Not everyone will see it the way I do, yet I know in my heart it comes from that one world of magic that can be ours to treasure for a lifetime: Walt Disney Home Video.
