Unfortunately, she had far less success in her personal life, and the film focuses on her doomed romance with her first husband, gambler Nicky Arnstein.

Great movies
I loved both movies and it's wonderful to see Barbra's character mature into a Lady. As Funny Girl you see how she lost herself completely to her man and as a Lady, she was still affected by her ex. The two men in each movie could not be more different and it teaches a very real lesson in life. Watch them and you will see what I mean!
