Ahead of it's time and sadly prescient
Sharp wit, characters full of spirit and story lines with parallels for each and everyone of us. There is no time for rose tinted sentimentality as the buccaneers use their tenacity and humour to challenge the lack of opportunities in their daily lives. It always gives me the same warm glow that I got at the end of every Walton's episode, but the language is more fruity and less fragrant. "Good night John-boy" and as Frank would say PARTY!
