ReviewsUncut - Cornish has made a very accomplished debut; an exuberant genre mash-up, part sci-fi, part action movie, part comedy, executed with tremendous energy and flair., This is London - ATTACK THE BLOCK is enthusiastically yoof., Boxoffice Magazine - Cornish's idiomatic dialogue is hilarious and the longtime comic's sense of timing is perfect., NPR - Boyega is absolutely riveting, leading with a stern glower, and constantly trying to prove himself. Yet Moses has a deep well of tenderness and honor beneath the faτade, and Boyega almost single-handedly makes you care not just about his character, but about everyone in any gang that would align itself with him. He's that magnetic., The Guardian - With tremendous assurance and utter lack of condescension, Cornish puts his young cast playing the council-block kids at the very centre of the action. He directs them tremendously well and they reward him with performances of charm and energy..., New York Times - This fabulously inventive debut feature, written and directed by the British comedian Joe Cornish, never flags., Empire - With tremendous assurance and utter lack of condescension, Cornish puts his young cast playing the council-block kids at the very centre of the action. He directs them tremendously well and they reward him with performances of charm and energy..., Village Voice - The smartest, funniest cheap monster-movie import this side of June's "Trollhunter," Attack the Block is a near-perfectly balanced seasonal trifle: Anchored in social realism yet determinedly goofy, it's neither too eager for laughs nor overtly preachy., Guardian UK - With tremendous assurance and utter lack of condescension, Cornish puts his young cast playing the council-block kids at the very centre of the action. He directs them tremendously well and they reward him with performances of charm and energy.

  • Crazy alien invasion

ALIENS invade the earth and their first contact is with a group of wannabe gang members on an estate in London. Lots of action and bad language ensues but it's quite a good movie all told.
