  • Great Addon product

Great Addon for any MakeBlock Mbot, Very bright display, You can Write some simple code to animate the display to say or draw eyes to give your robot some personality and expression, Can also be used to readout sensor information, draw measurement graphs based on readings, Even come on when the lights go out, You can also make it work with other components such as sound sensor to make the display react to sound, Many possible uses, Very well made product, Very cost effective for what you get. A must have for all Mbot enthusiasts :)

  • 'Face' - the mBot LED matrix (8x16) display

Buying the fantastic add-on, the LED Digital Face Plate and and then programming it with the simple to use mBlock blocks is a breeze. Kids can either draw an image to display or set a scrolling message. Sometimes (very occasionally) the images get garbled. It was found that if a small delay was added after the block used to send the drawing to the LED matrix then everything worked - presumably there is a timing issue and drawing data occasionally gets overwritten. We use it a lot. This is an extremely good first add-on purchase to add to your robot. Very many users do recommend it on line; and costing about £10 & bought from the UK I thought that it was good value - although an additional £3.50 for UK postage was probably a bit steep.
