A great little product
I have had problems in the past attaching a satnav to hire car screens. I bought this mat to try to solve the problem with a product that was small and light enough to make transport easy. It was also cheap enough not to be too concerned if it didn't work as well as I hoped. I should not have worried. It does work. The mat stays on the dash and does not move with the my satnav attached even over rough road surfaces and sharp corners. It does what it promises. It is small and light. Useless for satnav or decent sized smart phone
When I first used it with my satnav (which does not weigh much more than my iphone) it moved around as I drove off then the satnav tipped forward lifting up the mat, I changed it around for my iphone and it did the same. Car is a VW Passat.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Works Well on a flat dashbord
Works well with TomTom suction but as device is top heavy the mat needs to have a good smooth platform to grip properly. I add a weight to the top back side of the device's suction pad to hold it down as my dash board platform is not smooth enough too provide the grip needed to hold the mat with TomTom in place during braking etc. as it can topple over. Works well

Sat-nav made easy.
The windscreen is a long way from the driver and I struggled uncomfortably to fit the sat-nav. Furthermore, tapping the screen, with a long pencil, made for annoying mistakes. The rubber mat sits well on the surface above the dashboard and is stable. I consider this mat a very good product at a surprisingly low price.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Works well.
Works well in my 2013 Fiesta. I trimmed it so it would fit the cutaway in front of the clock rather than put it on the dashboard which slopes quite a lot. Keeps the sat nav still even under heavy braking and rapid acceleration.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Didn't believe it would work
As a driving instructor, I bought a sat nav for the test change coming in December. I decided I'd use a Mat to put it on like the examiners are planning on doing. I was a bit dubious at first thinking how is this going to stop the sat nav falling off?! During my first lesson with the mat in place, with my sat nav on it, my student wanted to practice emergency stops, we did a couple of emergency stops and the mat kept the sat nav in position, it never fell off. Friction? mount.
In a Volvo V70 with a Tom Tom 6200. Stick the mount to the mat on the dashboard and have the pair of them hit the floor at every corner or traffic lights or roundabout. Absolute rubbish item.
