  • What it says on the tin!

Wonderful collection of radio dramatisations of Wodehouse's Jeeves and Woostet work. Both Briers (Bertie) and Hordern (Jeeves) give 'at the top of their game' performances. Hordern's voice is spot on - a sheep coughing discreetly on a distant hill would not sound more Jeevesian. His calm caution in delivery conveys the character so effectively. And Briers captures Bertie's guileless self-focus and frequent displays of despair and other emotions in a 'wholly nailed it' way. All in all a wonderful addition to one's listening material. For those of you looking for a gift for a loved one whose eyesight or the like means that he or she can no longer so readily or at all pull a PGW J&W volume from the shelves and lose themselves happily in its pages, look no further! Wonderful language. Brilliant delivery.
